The other things that just don’t make the cut, aren’t worth telling you about. As I amass another group of items that would make perfect gifts I promise to share them with you in time for holiday gift giving. I couldn’t decide whether to save the best for last, or tell you about it first. I’m too excited about this new knife to hold out until the end. Founded in 2017, Cutluxe was designed to inspire home cooks to explore the art of great cooking. When they asked me if I would like to review their knives I told the good people at Cutluxe that I was comparing it to my Shun Kaji 8-inch chef knife. It was a very expensive investment (almost $300!) that I have never regretted. They sent me their Cutluxe 8-inch Artisan series chef knife (Amazon Affiliate Link). The look was similar but the Cutluxe knife was weightier, which turns out to be a bonus. I have never, ever, been able to slice a ripe tomato with a chef knife until now. The Cutluxe sliced through my farm fresh tomatoes like they were butter. I’m sold. That was the supreme test. And trust me, I put it through its paces. Now I reach for this knife instead of my Shun. Sorry Shun, I prefer the Cutluxe. This is absolutely at the top of my gift giving list. Plus guess what? It’s under $50!!

Stain Rx (Amazon Affiliate Link) is the absolute best stain remover I have ever used, bar none! The first time I saw this product was at a party a few years ago. A guest spilled a full glass of red wine on the host’s pale green carpet. OMG! We all figured that the only way to get rid of that stain was to replace the carpet. But out came the Stain Rx to the rescue. Miraculously the red wine disappeared. Full disclosure, the owners and creators of Stain Rx are friends of ours. But this product really, truly works. Its light weight, folds to just 3 1/2 inches, by 4 1/2 inches by 75 inches long. The product is made of light weight aluminum with steel parts and replaceable, rubberized anti-skid feet. The product is corrosion resistant, strong and tested to be OSHA compliant for a Type II, 225lb., commercial rating. This is a double sided ladder go you can go up either side. If you’re short on space or just don’t like to see a ladder hanging around this is the product for you. It allows the ladder to be stored out of site. It also fits in the 4 1/2 inch by 5 inch standard decorative fence post sold at most hardware stores and lumber yards. This allows mounting on truck lumber racks, inside service vans and also RV’s.
