Since both Steve and I love cars we were excited to see what the DFW Car and Toy Museum in Fort Worth Texas was all about!

This was our first time in Fort Worth and there were a couple of reasons that we chose this destination. The first was a bucket list item – visiting the Stockyards for the twice daily cattle drive. The other was to connect with a friend we’d made online through an amazing AI business that we are involved in.

Since our lunch date with James, from Momentum Tech AI, wasn’t until later in the week; AND it was threatening to rain, we opted for an indoor activity.

From the second we walked through the doors of the DFW Car and Toy Museum we were wowed by the vast collection of vehicles and toys on display. Everything was extremely well organized by size, age, uniqueness and brand.

This one-of-a-kind destination is where automotive history and nostalgia come to life. It was founded by Ron Sturgeon, a passionate car collector for over 30 years. His passion for automobiles began when he was a teenager. He taught himself to repair Volkswagens. Eventually that lead to a successful career in the automotive industry. He started by building one of the largest auto salvage yards in the country and went on to restoring and collecting classic and exotic cars, His love and adoration for all things automotive related has never wavered.

The museum is housed in a modern, 150,000-square-foot facility. There are museum-quality climate controls to protect and preserve its treasured collection. The facility actually began as a private space to store Ron’s collection. But it has now grown into one of the most expansive and impressive automotive museums in Texas.

This gorgeous 2008 Bugatti is the one that stole my heart!!!

The toys alone are worth the visit, but it was the over 200 cars that really wowed us. I, personally, would love to own that Red and Black 2008 Bugatti!!!
