It seems like eons ago that we celebrated our 56th wedding anniversary at Thaicoon Restaurant Pearland Texas. It was, in fact, March 23, 2025 to be exact.

Welcome to Thaicoon Restaurant Pearland Texas
Our dear friends Laura and Stanley wanted to take us out for an anniversary celebration. And since we had all been craving Thai food for quite some time, they took us to their favorite place.

Stunning bar at Thaicoon Restaurant and Pub
From the moment we walked in Steve and I were struck by the stunning beauty of Thaicoon Restaurant! It’s truly a place that invites you in and makes you look forward to what lies ahead. It’s modern and pretty. Much different than most of the Thai restaurants we’ve been to that are ornately decorated.
After looking over the extensive menu we still ordered our usual selections at Thai restaurants. But with one major upgrade. Normally we opt to share Pad Thai with Chicken and Beef Panang Curry. At this Thai restaurant they serve and amazing Lobster Pad Thai. Since Lobster is one of my very favorite foods we ordered that!
Our friends shared the enormous Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp.

Our fabulous Bloody Mary

Our starter of Thai Sensation Salted Edamame
We started off with cocktails that were superb and paired well with our Thai Sensation Bar Bite of Salted Steamed Edamame.

Luscious Lobster Pad Thai
When our entrées were served I was thrilled to see that the Pad Thai had a huge, whole lobster tail atop the noodles along with the traditional shrimp. The lobster was tender and sweet as well as being a great compliment to the slippery noodles and crunchy chopped peanuts.

Beef Panang Curry
The Beef Panang Curry was served in a large bowl filled with lots of tender beef, veggies and coconut based sauce so good we wanted to drink it.

Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp
The Pineapple Fried Rice was a gorgeous presentment in a hollowed pineapple half. Filling the pineapple boat was loads of fried rice, pineapple chunks, vegetables and plenty of succulent plump shrimp.

Mango Sticky Rice
Of course you can’t have a celebratory meal without dessert. So we ordered the Mango Sticky Rice. Another beautiful presentation! The sticky rice was topped with perfect slices of sweet mango, a flask of coconut milk to pour over the mango and rice and a deep purple Dendrobium orchid adorned the plate. It was almost too pretty to eat. But we were sooooooo glad we ate it. It was so delicious that we practically licked the plate.

We’ve officially joined the clean plate club!
Thaicoon Restaurant Pearland Texas is certainly a place that these Traveling Locavores look forward to returning to, again and again!!! Next time we may even get adventurous and try new dishes because everything on the menu sounded outstanding.
