The Silos Waco Texas

Magnolia Market and Gardens at The Silos in Waco, Texas, is a shopping mecca and entertainment space developed and owned by Joanna and Chip Gaines.

Establishing themselves as an HGTV couple who renovated houses in declining Waco on Fixer Upper, they helped revitalize the town. They reinvested earnings by opening their restaurant, Magnolia Table. Then they took a piece of property with unused silos and turned it into a shopping center with gardens and entertainment spaces for a multitude of uses. And they named it The Silos.

The Gaines’ had a vision that helped them become entrepreneurs while turning their hometown of Waco Texas into a thriving tourist destination.

After our wonderful Anniversary Brunch at Magnolia Table, Steve and I headed to The Silos for a stroll in the sunshine. We were still too full from breakfast to partake in the pastries at Magnolia Bakery. That was unfortunate because they looked and smelled so amazing.

We were lucky to be able to enjoy some of the recent updates to The Silos. The footprint now covers almost an entire city block. There are new shops, lots of beautiful gardens, a stage, baseball field, games and a restored historic church building on the grounds.

Steve and I had a great time shopping for beautifully designed Magnolia home goods. We wandered in and out of each and every boutique and admired how beautifully displayed everything was. Everywhere we looked seemed to reflect Joanna Gaines creative talent.

It was a joy to watch families playing baseball and having fun with Corn Hole. Tree shaded picnic tables scattered throughout the property tempted us sit and eat something from the food trucks that were selling their goodies. But, darn it, we were still too full from our beautiful breakfast at Magnolia Table!
